What to Expect from the Melon Outbreak

You may have recently heard about the listeria outbreak that has affected American cantaloupes. More than 70 people are sick, and at least twelve dead from cantaloupes contaminated with listeria food infections. The outbreak seems to have started with Rocky Ford, Colorado Cantaloupes, specifically those supplied by Jensen Farms. As a result the FDA announced a recall of all cantaloupes in the affected area.

This listeria outbreak has been dubbed “the deadliest food outbreak in more than a decade”, and still may be far from over. Listeria can incubate for more than a month, meaning cases of listeria may be reported all through October. The recalled cantaloupes are all Colorado grown, but many cantaloupes that have been recalled may not have stickers denoting where they’re from, making it more difficult to avoid potentially diseased cantaloupes. 1. I am extremely amazed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Anyway keep up the excellent quality writing, it’s rare to see a nice website like this one these days.. Thanks a lot.
